Dear sir,
I want to analyse the data which is obtained from profilometry. This
data is in the form of ".xlsx".How can I insert this data in Gwyddion??

the best way should be exporting your Excel data into ASCII format (tsv,
tab-separated values, or csv, comma-separated values). Gwyddion does
very will with data in this format then.

I suppose this means 1D profile data as no one would be so crazy to
store 2D data as Microsoft Excel files. Most measurement software can
export profiles as plain two-column text files (each line containing one
X, Y pair) that Gwyddion can read. Most measurement software also has
some native data format that Gwyddion may be already able to import or
support for it can be reasonably implemented. But if Microsoft Excel
files are the only thing available, well, export the data to text files
from Microsoft Excel – it can also do this...
