Dear all,

I am new in using Gwyddion, and want to do particle analysis of AFM images
with it. Is there a way to derive the "mid-height diameter" of particles
in Gwyddion?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Kind regards,
Bert

Hi Bert,
I never did it myself but a quick way I just did it is.

data process>Grains>mark by threshold> reduced the height until my particles where selected to mid height.

data process>Grains>statistics

That gives you an average area.

This is, in my opinion, in best case very inexact and worst case just wrong. But since I don't know what you tried already I thought I'd try it out.
