Hi,
Two minor convenience questions.

Can multi image files such as .SM4 be configured to open to thd Topography image by default?

Veeco/bruker files are nameoffile.001, nameoffile.003, nameoffile.005, nameoffile.007, and so on. Has anybody managed to open them directly with gwyddion without having to drag and drop into gwyddion or open as…? Or having gwiddion to open all .001all.002 and so on?

No, this is not configurable. In a few formats ‘the Topography image’
actually has a meaningful interpretation. But, generally, file import
modules just read all the data and Gwyddion then simply shows the first
channel, having to show something.

By running ‘gwyddion nameoffile.*’? Or selecting multiple files in the
file open dialog?
